What is Marble?
 
Marble works beautifully especially in the bath where the veining patterns and colors that appear can be used to create exquisite designs. Marble is sensitive to acidic foods such as: vinegar, lemon, tomatoes, wine, as well as some cleaning products commonly found in the kitchen or bath and will dull a polished finish. Some marbled with honed or matte finished make exceptionally high quality kitchen countertops.

What is Travertine?
 
Travertine is a type of limestone and one of the most popular natural stones for interior and exterior flooring, classing, paving, statuary and curbing. Not suitable of kitchen application. This material will have holes running thru the material filled with a grout product that will never shine like the stone. This product is best when it is filled and honed.
